Tea Brewing

Brewing Instructions:

These are the General Brewing instructions. Please note that your prescription may be slightly different. CALL The Dancing Crane if you have any questions or concerns. Remember for best results, follow the instructions as closely as possible:

  1. Place one bag of herbs in a large glass, ceramic, clay or stainless steel pot, DO NOT USE ALUMINUM OR GALVANIZED STEEL)and add 7 cups of COLD water. Allow to soak for a minimum of 15 minutes and a maximum of 60 minutes, (the longer the better).
  2. Cover and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce to low and simmer with the lid on tight until left with approximately 3 cups of tea. This usually takes between 20—40 minutes. Keep a close eye on them!
  3. Strain off tea and press cooked herbs with hand to remove all liquid. Add enough water so that you are left with 3 cups of tea, or three equal portions if more than 3 cups are made.
  4. Store your tea in the refrigerator using a tightly covered container. May be stored for up to 72 hours.

Brewing Herbs

Keep in mind, Herbal decoctions or teas have been the preferred method of administering medicinal substances for thousands of years. Arguably, they are one of the most effective delivery systems known to man. These herbs have been specifically tailored to match your individual health needs at this time.

Be patient and enjoy the process. All amounts listed are approximates. Dosage is controlled by the amount of herbs and not necessarily the amount of liquids. Dividing your brewed tea, into equal doses for each days use, is what is important.
